The Gateway (Node) Project

Reconnecting Divided Communities

Imagine if a single block could reconnect an entire neighborhood—safely, sustainably, and together.

That’s the vision behind The Gateway Project: Adair Park Today’s initiative to transform the dangerous train crossing near Beulah Colbert Park (formerly Adair Park II) into a safe, bike- and pedestrian-friendly gateway to MARTA, the Beltline, and West End. With community-driven design, we’re proposing:

  • Clear, painted crosswalks
  • Protected bike lanes
  • Signage with clear pedestrian priority
  • A revamped park entrance that welcomes walkers, cyclists, and strollers alike

At a moment where Adair Park and Southwest Atlanta is the center of major development, we want to get this right – join us!
