May’s Adair Park meet-n-greet will be an ice cream social at Dave and Sue’s house, 661 Catherine Street on Saturday May 10 from 2-4 PM.
Please feel free to make some ice cream or something else to bring with you. Please bring whatever you wish to drink. The hosts will be making 3 different kinds of ice cream and some fabulous cookies. This is a very child friendly event. Come one and all. Store bought ice cream is just fine!
This Saturday is the second annual Adair Park Saturday in the Park event! Last year’s event was so much fun that we decided to spend more time on the vendor and game parts, and have invited our surrounding neighborhoods. The market is from 9am-noon, then kickball starts up at noon for all ages! Events wind down at 3, but that doesn’t mean you have to leave then.
All you need to bring is yourself, some money if you want anything from vendors, sunscreen and your own food and beverages and a chair or blanket if you want to sit. Come on out and spend some time with your neighbors – there is no requirement to participate in any events. You can cheer on those playing from the sidelines!
If you are interested in selling yard sale items or any other arts and crafts, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, June 6th.
We hope to see you there!
Adair Park’s monthly Meet-N-Greet happens this Sunday, September 25th, from 4-7pm. Brad Jent at 706 Elbert Street is opening his home again for another fun time with neighbors. Brad will provide some light snacks, but we ask that you BYOB and bring any other snacks you want to share. These are always a fun time, and if you haven’t seen Brad’s house, you need to. We hope to see you on Sunday!
The Adair Park Meet-N-Greets are monthly gatherings of neighbors of all ages (kids to seniors) at someone’s house or one of the parks designed for residents or potential residents to meet new neighbors and chat with those you already know. These events bring our neighborhood closer together and are a lot of fun as well.
Thanks to everyone that came to last month’s event at Adair Park I. We had a blast playing kickball with the kids, talking to neighbors and enjoying some fresh homemade popsicles. We have meet-n-greets locked up for the rest of the year, but if you are interested in hosting one in the future, please contact Jay Melton at email@example.com or via phone at 404-790-2745.
This Saturday, June 25th, is the next Adair Park Meet-N-Greet. The potluck over Memorial Day weekend was a huge success with over 50 neighbors enjoying a huge variety of food, playing games in the backyard and hanging out on the front porch until the wee hours of the night. There was so much great food – pasta salads, cole slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs, fried chicken, pulled pork, several incredible banana puddings, lemon icebox pie and so much more. We will definitely have to plan another potluck soon, because there are some great cooks in Adair Park!
This month’s meet-n-greet will start at 6pm at Dave and Sue’s house at 661 Catherine Street. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the hosts. At 8pm, the party will move to Rick and Denise’s house at 662 Catherine Street where hot dogs (regular, turkey and veggie) will be throw on the grill until about 10pm. Please BYOB to both houses. Grab a few neighbors and head on over to Catherine Street to meet some other folks in Adair Park. We hope to see you there!
Bring your neighbors out for some springtime porch sippin’ and chattin’! The meet-n-greets consistently bring out 30 or so neighbors. After the cleanup last month we had close to 50 people hanging out, and many were either new to the neighborhood or had not met many people in Adair Park.
This month’s meet-n-greet will take place at Shane Diekman’s house at 755 Brookline Street. Shane is providing light snacks, so please BYOB and bring something to munch on if you want. Please stop by, if only for a bit, and meet some of your Adair Park neighbors.
It’s that time again folks! The Adair Park Meet-N-Greet express rolls over to Tift Avenue for a progressive party. Tift Avenue runs parallel to Metropolitan just 2 streets back and runs alongside the big Adair Park II. The party starts at 7pm and move houses at some point in the evening. The hosts ask you to BYOB, and they will have some snacks and wine provided. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, so this should be a great night to have this event! Bring a neighbor or two with you, meet some new neighbors, chat with the ones you know and have a good time. We hope to see you there!
