Halloween in Adair Park!

It’s that time of year when the ghosts, ghouls and goblins come out to play! And some princesses, batmans, cheerleaders and pirates too. Adair Park is asking those giving out candy to sit on their front porches with the lights on to encourage those with children to approach your house in a safe manner. Only wrapped purchased candy should be given out.

Adair Park’s own Beltline Bike Shop is opening their doors from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Halloween and offering face painting for kids in the neighborhood. If you would like to volunteer or donate anything, please contact them at info@beltlinebikeshop.org.

Beltline Bike Shop Porch Crawl Saturday, May 19th

It’s that time of year again! Adair Park’s favorite community organization, the Beltline Bike Shop, is hosting their annual porch crawl fundraiser on Saturday, May 19th from 5pm-9pm. This fun time will be held on five porches around Adair Park where you will meet neighbors and other supporters of the Beltline Bike Shop. You will also hear of the impact that the bike shop has had in Southwest Atlanta and Adair Park. Come on out and support this great program!

Beltline Bike Shop Fundraiser

Adair Park’s own Beltline Bike Shop is doing a fundraiser on November 5th, and they need your donations! They are doing, what else, but a 50 mile bike ride. Adair Park neighbors Joel Haffey and John Sherwood are joining owner Tim O’Mara and other friends of the Bike Shop in this ride to raise funds for the Bike Shop. This is a great opportunity to give back to the kids in our community and give them a sense of pride in their community.

For more information about the Beltline Bike Shop, visit their website. For more information on the ride and how to donate, please visit this page. There is also a Facebook page for the event itself. Please join in and help out this worthy cause.

Beltline Bike Shop Porch Crawl!

Beltline Bike ShopNeighbors Tim and Becky O’Mara have helped out the youth in Adair Park more than anyone can ever really know. Their tireless efforts with the Beltline Bike Shop have given kids in the neighborhood some direction and pride, as well as giving out some bikes and some repairs to those bikes! The kids are tasked with duties like picking up trash to earn points towards a repair or a bike.

This Saturday, June 4th, the Beltline Bike Shop is happy to announce an Adair Park Porch Crawl as a fundraiser for the shop. Please RSVP to info@beltlinebikeshop.org or visit their Facebook page here.

Even if you cannot make this event, please consider making a donation to this incredible program for the youth in Adair Park. You can follow Tim and Becky’s progress with the bike shop on their website. Lots of great reading about everything these two have done!
