Thanks to our friends at SCAD Serve and Art in the Paint, we have the opportunity to get a second court resurfaced and covered in a mural in Adair Park 2. This time, SCAD Serve has worked with their alum and our neighbor, Joe Veazey, to create a playful and energetic work of art for the uncovered half-court in Adair Park 2. Please see the feedback link and proposed design below. The design will be voted on at the next APT meeting (September 6) where this feedback will be shared.
“Our SCAD POP design captures the excitement and energy of the game through vivid colors and sinuous trails of lines. This colorway offers a sense of whimsy and reflects the Adair Park community’s positivity and exuberance. The intertwined arms and legs bring a playful surrealist element into the design and encourages viewers to be creative and open-minded, even when playing basketball.” — Joe Veazey (B.F.A., graphic design, 2009), Founder of Creative Library
