Keep Atlanta Beautiful and the Atlanta Beltline are organizing a cleanup in our backyard to celebrate Earth Day! Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 9am to noon they are going to be cleaning up the Adair Park section of the Beltline on Allene Avenue behind Lexington.
This is the old Harmon Brothers bus lot and was a wasteland of tires, trash and concrete. We are going to continue the work they have done cleaning it up, and with the help of other organizations like Trees Atlanta, Park Pride and the Toolbank, we will remove some of the invasive plants. All of this is moving towards the ultimate goal of an urban garden on that plot of land.
