It is getting closer to Thanksgiving. What are we thankful for? A lot. Hopefully one of those things everyone here is thankful for is our incredible neighborhood. Adair Park has grown and prospered through porch parties, Easter egg hunts, activities for kids, various other gatherings and through simple neighbor outreach.
So, to show our thanks, why not clean up the neighborhood we love some? The spring cleanup started on the south end and almost made it through the entire neighborhood. This time we aren’t being quite so ambitious. The streets for cleaning are on the north end, from Shelton to Pearce and from Allene/Murphy to Metropolitan. The cleanup is this Saturday, November 19th. We will meet in Adair Park II (Tift Ave. parking lot) at 8:30 for breakfast and coffee, provided by Adair Park Today. Then at 9am we will split up into teams with some outside help and pick up trash on our streets.
This is a great event to get out and meet neighbors, both those cleaning and those you pass. And it makes our streets look so good! All you need to bring is yourself and some gloves. We will have tools from the Atlanta Tool Bank and trash bags. The City of Atlanta is providing the dumpster. If you have any questions, please contact us at either communications@adairpark.com or treasurer@adairpark.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
