The Kroc Center launched their farmer’s market last weekend to the delight of local residents! The market, located in front of the Kroc Center at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Mary Street, just across from Pearce Street, is open on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Get there early as they were running out last weekend.
The market runs until at least late August, if not past it. The produce is purchased at the State Farmer’s Market in Forest Park and brought up that morning. Starting in late June several local teens will be able to work with the farmer’s market, learning key business skills.
Last weekend the market had peaches, collard greens, carrots, oranges, corn, lettuce, limes and some other fruits and vegetables. Come support this local effort and get some great produce just across the street from Adair Park!
