It is tax time again, unfortunately! Even though returns are not due until April, getting an early start will make filing much easier. The Center For Working Families (TCWFI) is offering free tax prep for 2011. The Internal Revenue Service lists these tips that will help your filing run as smoothly as possible:
- Gather your records
- Be on the lookout for your W-2’s, 1099’s, etc.
- Use free filing services, like free tax prep at TCWFI!
- Know your filing options
- Have an account ready for direct deposit
- View the IRS website and make sure you are getting your deductions! www.irs.gov or call toll-free at 800-829-1040
