Help Keep Atlanta Clean – Recycle!

Do your part to help the environment and keep recyclable items out of our landfills by splitting your recycling out from your trash. Everyone should have a small black recycling bin, but there are alternatives. You can get stickers from the city to put on your own bins, or better yet, now you can even request a large rolling blue recycle bin from the city!

Call 404-330-6333 or send an email to publicworks@atlantaga.gov to request your large bin. Items eligible for curbside recycling collection include: newspapers, aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars (remove the lids), steel (tin) cans, plastic food containers and bottles (please rinse out), mixed paper, office paper, junk mail, telephone books, boxboard (cereal, tissue boxes), shredded paper tied in a clear plastic bag, magazines, catalogues, cardboard (broken down or cut to fit the bin). Please DO NOT put plastic bags, hoses, pipes or furniture in the bins. Most grocery stores have recycling bins for your plastic bags.
